We have put together a brief explanation on how we build and install your dream conservatory or bespoke orangery.
Finance, Planning & Survey
Before we do anything, we need to be absolutely certain that your planned conservatory or orangery is perfect for your home and that every tiny detail is taken care of. And this means bringing in our expert surveyors, every time. You may also need to wait for planning permission and finance.
IN A NUTSHELL – What we’ll do…
• Arrange finance on your behalf (if you have taken up a finance offer).
• If you need planning permission arrange for an architect to draw up plans.
• Lodge your planning application and see it through (when we’re arranging it on your behalf).
• Call you to arrange a date and time for our surveyor to visit.
• After his report, make any necessary changes to your contract and agree them with you.
• If needed, confirm the changes in writing for both our records as a Variation of Contract.
• Ask for a deposit to be paid, if you’ve not already done this.
• Press the ‘go’ button to manufacture your conservatory or orangery.
* Keep you informed every step of the way.
Building The Base
A conservatory or orangery is a built extension to your home that you can expect to enjoy for many years. As a result, deep solid foundations are essential – so inevitably while we work your garden will look like a building site. However, we are careful, accountable builders and you will be given the name and number of your foreman in advance. Please call him on his mobile, if you’d like to make special arrangements or have any concerns before or during the building stage.
IN A NUTSHELL – What we’ll do…
• Arrive on the right day.
• Send you a handy checklist to help you clear the area and prepare for the builders.
• Keep any plants or paving requested by you on the first day.
• Dig and lay the foundations
• Lay brickwork to damp course level.
• Concrete the base.
• Build the dwarf walls.
• Fill in around the foundations with limestone chippings unless you tell us otherwise.
• Tidy up after ourselves.
• Take care to cause as little disruption as possible.
Fitting The Windows, Doors & Roof
Now for the exciting bit – the windows and roof going on. At this stage, you’ll probably be delighted how quickly your conservatory or orangery takes shape. We will write with a date for this important event well in advance.
IN A NUTSHELL – What we’ll do…
• Arrive on the right day.
• Fit the window frames and doors.
• Fit the roof on top of the window frames.
• Collect payment for the conservatory.
• Leave your brand new conservatory clean and tidy.
Finishing
Your conservatory or orangery is built and you can see just what it’s going to be like. But there are still things to do and the devil’s in the detail so it’s got to be done just right.
IN A NUTSHELL – What we’ll do…
• Send round a Quality Engineer to complete everything to the highest quality on the Plan.
• Write with details of our ‘Introduce a Friend’ scheme.
• Ask you for feedback on the service you’ve received.
• Send your guarantee once we’re all settled up.
